These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Icos mobile application (the "App"), operated by Icos ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Icos is a daily puzzle game. We publish one puzzle per day, available to all players at 00:00 UTC. Features include streaks, private groups with leaderboards, offline play and result sharing. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
You agree not to:
Players can report groups and members from within the App. We may remove content, suspend or ban accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
Group names, display names and solve results you submit are "User Content". You keep ownership of your User Content and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it within the App (for example on group leaderboards and shared solve cards) for as long as your account exists. Group administrators may remove members from their groups.
The App, its puzzles, artwork, name and logo are owned by Icos and protected by copyright and trademark law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended purpose. You may share your solve cards freely.
We aim for the daily puzzle to be available every day but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Cached puzzles allow offline play; results are synced when a connection is available. We may modify or discontinue the App at any time.
The App relies on Supabase (backend), Firebase (analytics, crash reporting, notifications) and, if you choose to use them, Google and Apple sign-in. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for details of the data involved.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Icos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data or streaks, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections 4, 5, 8, 9 and 12 survive termination.
We may update these Terms. We will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Icos operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
